Why do we celebrate Valentine's Day?

It is decades since my last post. Haha. Anyway, since its February. What comes in your mind? Leap Year? Valentines? etc..In this post, i would like to discuss about Valentines day. Its only 2 days for this holiday.

Before i discuss it, i would like to know your conclusion about the previous topic with this questions:

Did you change your belief about beauty? Why?How can you enlighten people about the definition of beauty? based on your belief?

Yes, only two questions, i can't think of anything but i think you can answer this questions.

Lets back to original topic. Valentines day. What is Valentines Day?

Valentines Day - Saint Valentine's Day, commonly known as Valentine's Day,or the Feast of Saint Valentine,is observed on February 14 each year. It is celebrated in many countries around the world, although it remains a working day in most of them. - Wikipedia

A man named St. Valentine was in prison for stealing something and he wrote his love one letters all the time and he signed his letter from your love ,Valentine. Okay, lets skip that part. Valentines Day is a common holiday to people by sharing love all over the world. The alternative name is Hearts day. Its tradition that we celebrate it with our family,friends or our special ones. Common people celebrating it by watching movies,eating to resturants etc. but other people just staying in their house and playing computer. (Well, i think i will be alone, so yeah, im playing computer or reading ebooks.) So every February 14, we celebrate Valentines Day.

Why do we celebrate Valentines Day? What is so special about this holiday? Is it because we are used to this day? People like me, always alone, not so much paying attention to this holiday but still sad because we don't have a lovelife. Yes, LOVELIFE. One of the keywords to Valentines. Some people propose or celebrating monthsary in this holiday. So it is really special, but the question is why.

I've search in google about this question, well, its just pop up my mind when im thinking a new topic for my blog. I reviewed their answers. Giving cards, flowers or chocolates, sharing love to our peers is their most answer. And that qoute above is about the history of this holiday. 

For me, we celebrate Valentines Day because:

--> To express the love to our peers.

--> Its just traditional or we used to. No really reason.

--> I somewhat agree about the marketing strategy.

I've post about this because i want to know why you celebrate it.  I know i am jumping again and this topic is rubbish. Lol, its just my opinion. Or my perspective about this day. (Because im alone? Lol) So, i want to know your side about this, I hope that you still celebrate it even you are alone. Make yourself happy or be with your peers to celebrate this day. Because even we don't really have a reason to celebrate this holiday, We will be closer to our peers and love them more.

What is Beauty anyway?

One night, when i was goint to sleep,i was wondering why are the boys don't like me. Is it because of my ruined skin? my attitude? or because im not really pretty? I dont really know. I am asking myself and started crying. I don't have much of self-confidence in myself and thinking of that event that i will tell you later.

What is beauty anyway? this is really a question in my mind since that night. Because mostly, beauty is with brains. As they say, "what is beauty if the brain is empty" and also "What is knowledge if your face is damaged." and i know this is the perspectives of those who are really 'beautiful'. Some people said that beauty is inside which is your "attitude". I don't really know what is true. But this perspectives are tested by meeting boys. Try to mention this beautiful girl... they will run just to know this girl, and when you mention someone who is not that beautiful but very intelligent but they will just said "meh" because shes not pretty. People have there own opinions and i want to know them and answer this question.

What is beauty anyway? How do you define beauty?
Is beauty can be acquired, sell, buy or anything?
Why are other people saying that they are not beautiful? Why didn't they find special about them? Is is because of their experiences?

Well, this is a big topic but i would like on focusing about your definition of beauty. or its real meaning.

When i was in 4th year high school, my teacher in Trigonometry asked my boy classmate to arrange each of us (we are 5 girls) to who is the most lighter complexion etc. In light complexion, i am the lightest in them. Then, in the comparison where who is the most prettiest to our five girls, i was at the last because i was the ugliest in those five girls. It hurt but i need to control my feelings in it. Because of my rough skin (and i don't much putting make up etc in my face) even so, it still hurt. Who wouldn't hurt when they know that you're ugly? unless you were made to stone. Lol.
Anyway because of this, i was so not confident about myself. I am just studying because i know my looks is just meh.

I know that i am jumping but... beauty has a deep meaning. I didn't find beauty in myself yet but i found it :) I find this topic is not also the meaning of beauty, also the "self-confidence" to self, and also finding "special" to yourself.

I just want you to know that im slowly smiling while typing about this post... seems that this will boast something about me.... I hope you too!

Goodbye 2012!Hello 2013!

I know its kind of late but you know... But to all people, even though that its a new year, we should be beware about ourselves, our surroundings etc. Especially now its 2013. We thought that the end of the world is 2012 but we really don't know when.

So what we should expect in 2013?
The disasters coming to the countries - in 2012, there is most disasters including in Tsunami in Japan, many typhoons here in Philippines, so we should expect it this year. Im glad in 2012, there is concern to each other even though we are not family or from the country, we still help each other. This year,we should be more ready now.

The issues regarding everything (Politics,Showbiz,Social Networking) - Last year, there is alot of war in twitter. What is really the purpose of Social Networking? making friends! But there is so much war. Im glad there is some people who used the social networking to help people. I know that there are many issues about it. Also, by Politics, such as political dynasty or corrupted politicians, and the unapproved laws. And lastly, about celebrities, there is some people that are not interested in this field but most of us are curious about them, marriages,relationships etc. I also add about some issues including Sotto's plagiarism that made alot of blog haters. I hope these issues this year are not bad but are for giving information.

The trends in fashion - Well, the fashion is only just a cycle. You thought it always have a new trend but its only repeating. Even though its like that, we should expect anything new about fashion, i dreamed to be a designer but no luck there, im not fashionable. (But i liked playing fashion games lol!)

New releases in series of non-fiction&fiction - this is one of the things im excited about in 2013. Ofcourse as a hopeless romantic, i am expecting new releases in YA and Adult books with romance, (yes, i like reading romance). I am expecting Blood Prophecy,The House of Hades,The Goddess Inheritance and Lover At Last. Also, new series in 2013! Better watch out for releases!

Even though we are expecting this things, we can't still forget God. Our faith and everything. So, to end to this post, this things are nothing without God. So, this year, i hope we will be properous and good!

Who Am I?

You can call me Aiashine. I am from Philippines. I know that Filipinos are good in English but not me. Haha. I am still a student. I am currently hook up on reading YA and some adult fictions. I am hopeless romantic and really hopeless about romance. I am not friendly but i can be easily approach. Some of my peers describe me as a "sarcastic person". Oh well, judge me by yourself :D

You seems to know a lot on blogging, when did you start blogging?
I started blogging at 2006 using blogspot. But im not used in blogger like before because it is connected to Google. Then, i started at wordpress using hosts and servers and co.cc domain. I was so idiot and naive then so i want to kill myself to embrassment. Then, again, i am blogging. I hope i can continue this.

What is the purpose of this blog?

This blog is presented as a project in my subject called COMFUND (Computer Fundamentals). But while im editing posts in this blog, im starting to love this blog. I might keep this forever. Haha.

What can you see in this blog?

Anything interesting. Anything that can be discussed. I know that im not that popular and good but we'll see what i can post in the future....
